Mississauga, Future Directions – Parks and Natural Areas Master Plan

Mehak, Kelly teamed with parks and trails planning consultants to conduct this comprehensive study to direct the future development and management of parks and natural areas.

The master plan included a separate comprehensive research paper entitled ‘Trends in Urban Parks, Green Spaces and Natural Areas’, documenting North American trends in planning and developing urban parks that are incorporating active roles in areas such as structured and unstructured education; outdoor, year-round programming; environmental restoration, protection and enhancement; natural areas management; public health and community-building.
