The CORE redevelopment comprised a complete renovation, expansion and redevelopment of three city blocks in downtown Calgary. The City approval process included negotiating four development amending agreements, a complex life safety agreement and a new exterior development permit. The project cost was 300 million dollars and the final development connected the three properties with the largest suspended glass skylight in North America. It has won Canadian, North American and international design awards.
On behalf of 20 Vic Development as the project manager, MKA secured all City approvals, and conducted negotiations with Calgary Parks, and project management services.
