City of Kingston Waterfront Master Plan

Mehak, Kelly supported thinc design in preparing a comprehensive plan that covers 280km of Lake Ontario and Cataraqui River waterfront and will be implemented over the next 20+ years. Mehak, Kelly was responsible for public consultation, and input to documenting and implementing recommendations. A variety of interactive consultation activities were organized by six geographic areas held over the course of six months. Sessions that addressed the waterfront as a whole were held at the beginning and the end of these area-focused events. Community-based events were complemented by a number of web-based engagement tools including Facebook and on-line chats. The final Plan won a 2017 Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) Award of Excellence for Planning and Design.
